Job placement: s.Pro is hiring a Part-Time Website / Database Administrator

The international consultancy s.Pro – sustainable projects based in Berlin is seeking a highly motivated Part-Time Website / Database Administrator.

Who are we? 

s.Pro sustainable projects is a consultancy specialised in transnational cooperation projects funded by the European Union and other funding institutions. It initiates, prepares, manages and follows–up on transnational projects and studies in the sphere of the development of a sustainable blue economy. Among others, s.Pro manages the secretariat of the SUBMARINER Network for Blue Growth; the coordination and communication platform for more than 35 public and private actors across the Baltic Sea Region involved in innovative and sustainable uses of marine resources. Our topics span over a wide area: from supporting new forms of mariculture (e.g. algae & mussel cultivation); multi-use; ocean literacy; maritime spatial planning; assistance to start-ups up, to raising consumer awareness and product uptake. Our activities focus mainly around internal and external project coordination and communication – including website management, preparation of policy briefs, fact sheets, articles and other communication material; workshop and conference preparation and facilitation, development of proposals as well as writing administrative and content reports.

Our topics span over a wide area: from supporting new forms of mariculture (e.g. algae & mussel cultivation); multi-use; ocean literacy; maritime spatial planning; assistance to start-ups up, to raising consumer awareness and product uptake.

Our activities focus mainly around developing large scale EU wide project applications – followed by the related activities in project implementation; namely internal and external project coordination and communication (incl. website management), preparation of policy briefs, fact sheets, articles and other communication material; workshop and conference preparation and facilitation as well as writing administrative and content reports. 

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a part time additional staff member, who assists our entire project team in the regular update and maintenance of the numerous websites and databases we run for our company, network and transnational EU funded projects (Interreg, Horizon, BBI-JU programmes).

The ideal candidate should be available on a very regular basis at least 12 hours a week and have good knowledge of CMS website management as well as database programmes. Previous experience in working with international projects and networks is regarded as an asset, but not a requirement.

Background knowledge, experience and interest in working with graphic design (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.) is regarded as a strong asset.

Knowledge, experience and skills:

  • Excellent German and English are a prerequisite; another EU language would be an asset;
  • Very good computer skills (MS Office – esp. PowerPoint, Excel, Teams) required
  • Experience with CMS website management (esp. Joomla) and/or database programmes (e.g. Access) required
  • Interest and skills in working with graphic design programmes (PhotoShop, etc.); online conference facilitation (Murals, Sli.Do, JotForms); project management tools (Trello, Teams) regarded as an asset
  • Interest and skills in developing website texts, visuals and copywriting;
  • Good communication, writing and organisational skills

Starting date: May / June 2021

Duration: We look for somebody to join us at least for one year

Working Hours: 12 - 20 hours / week

Location: The position is assigned to our office in Berlin, Germany
